Bear Archery Celebrates 90 Years of Iconic Archery Equipment with New Lineup of 2023 Bows

Evansville, IN (October 3, 2022) Bear Archery, leader and innovator within the sporting goods industry is thrilled to announce another legendary lineup of compound, traditional, and crossbow equipment in celebration of the company’s 90th Anniversary. The company’s founder and visionary, Fred Bear, started Bear Products Company in 1933. Nine decades later, the equipment manufacturer has built and delivered millions of bows to archers around the world. The new 2023 lineup of Bear bows captures the brand’s 90-year legacy while bringing consumers all-new technology, designs, and features.

Bear’s new 2023 flagships, the EXECUTE 32 and EXECUTE 30, stand apart as the most high-tech, stable, and accurate Bear Archery compound bows ever produced. The 2023 Execute is available as both a 32” axle-to-axle bow as well as a 30” axle-to-axle bow. The flagship models receive a ground-up redesign with a new forged riser, groundbreaking Shock Management System® (SMS), increased weight and rigidity for best-in-class stability, and a revised Equalized Kinetic Orientation® (EKO) cam system for unmatched performance. The Execute’s refreshed EKO cam system brings familiar performance with a more forgiving and smoother draw cycle. The new Shock Management System in the bow’s riser brings unrivaled vibration reduction and sound-deadening technology never seen in a Bear bow. The Execute 32 accommodates draw lengths of 26.5” – 30.5”, while the shorter Execute 30 offers adjustment from 26” – 30”. Both models can be ordered with either 45-60lb or 55-70lb limbs. The 2023 Bear Execute takes 90 years of archery excellence and packs it into the Bear’s most competitive hunting compound bow ever produced.

To further capture the legacy of iconic bowhunter and founder, Fred Bear, the 2023 lineup of Bear bows see’s two more new models that take value and adjustability to new heights. The 2023 Bear Archery Legend XR and Legend XR RTH are the brand’s latest addition to the widely popular Legend family of bows. In 2021, the company re-introduced the Whitetail Legend. Last year, the lineup gained the Whitetail Legend Pro which quickly became one of Bear’s best-selling bows to date with the popular EKO cam system and a compact axle-to-axle design for less than $600. The new 2023 Legend XR brings immense adjustability, accommodating draw lengths from 18-31” and draw weights of 14-70lbs. The Legend XR features a 32” axle-to-axle and comes equipped with Bear’s KILLERWAVE® limb dampeners and latest DHC-XR® cam system. The bow can be ordered as either a bow only, or Bear’s highly valued Ready to Hunt kit.

In addition to the XR, Bear has gone back to the drawing board with one of the most popular and longest living nameplates in the lineup. The new Bear Cruzer G3 replaces the outgoing Cruzer G2. This next generation of Cruzer offers more performance and value than any Cruzer model before. A revised cam system delivers a sensible draw cycle with the same attractive adjustability. Archers young and old will value the Cruzer G3’s 14-30” draw length and 5-70lb draw weight range. The lightweight design and short 30” axle-to-axle make the Bear G3 perfect for young archers looking for their first bow or experienced archers looking for a small and inexpensive compound bow.

On the traditional side of the lineup, Bear has partnered with world famous bowhunter, Fred Eichler. The 2023 Eichler Signature Take Down riser by Bear is a first in the company’s 90-year history. The new 17” machined aluminum Take Down riser features Bear’s patented latch system in a contemporary and innovative design. The Eichler Signature riser can accommodate Bear’s #1, #2, and #3 Take Down limbs making complete bow configurations available in 58”, 60” or 62” AMO. The riser has been a multi-year R&D project between Bear and Eichler with both party’s deep history and experience around traditional bows leading to the final design. The Eichler riser offers archers the industry’s most customizable Take Down riser with its interchangeable shelf inserts. Bowhunters can choose between a “Low,” “Medium,” and “High” shelf radius to tune the bow exactly how they intend. The riser also features a slim, low-wrist grip that helps bring the overall weight of the aluminum riser down. Like Bear’s Mag Riser Take Down, the Eichler Signature riser comes with an adjustable side plate to adjust center-shot, a front stabilizer bushing, and taps for a bolt on traditional quiver.

The Bear traditional lineup also sees the refresh of the fan favorite, Montana. For 2023, the Bear Montana longbow gains a new look with a black maple riser and Arctic Grey faced and backed fiberglass limbs. The 64” Montana longbow joined the Bear lineup in the late 1990’s. In that time, it has quickly become the best-selling affordable longbow in the industry. The bow comes with a leather “shoot off the shelf” rest and supple leather grip wrap.

Finally, the Bear X Crossbow brand adds three new models covering performance, affordability, and reliability factors. The 2023 Constrictor Pro joins the family with a new stock and limb design, making it lighter, faster, and more compact that previous Constrictor models. The line gains another two wallet friendly models, the Trance 420 and Domain 410, rounding out the brand’s offering and making Bear X perfect for any level of experience or budget.

As Bear Archery enters its 90th year of business, the iconic brand is brining another lineup of archery equipment that Fred Bear would be proud of.
